Construction Updates and Facility Start up
Update - January 30th:
We are happy to report that start up of the new treatment system was successfully completed this week! The system is running at this time and the new facility is now operational!
Please note that crews will still be out to complete punch list items. An update of the system transition will be given at the next Board meeting.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Update - January 23rd:
The start-up of the new water treatment building is scheduled for Wednesday-Thursday, January 28th-29th. Start-up activities should not impact water use in the community. If additional updates are needed, they will be posted on the District website and shared with community members as soon as possible.
Thank you again for your patience.
The only outstanding activities at the construction site will be to wrap up, clean up, and address punch-list items.
Update - January 14th:
The road has been partially opened at this time! We appreciate your continued patience and understanding until start up is completed - please keep road usage to a minimum if possible and be mindful of construction equipment for your safety.
Thank you to the community members who reported issues with the lighting at the new facility. The lights that are currently installed will be replaced with 'Dark Sky compliant' fixtures as soon as possible. If the lights are needed for construction activity they may be used up until 5:30pm.
The start up process is currently being scheduled - updates on exact dates and timing will be posted as soon as they are available.
Thank you for your understanding to allow crews to work full days to complete construction as quickly as possible!
Update - December 22nd:
A scheduled road closure will continue until the road is safe for vehicles, likely until just after the New Year.
Please observe all closure notices and DO NOT DRIVE BEYOND "Road Closure" SIGNAGE or around active road work (DO NOT BYPASS CLOSURES VIA DITCHES OR SHOULDER).
Doing so will subject the site to additional possible delays and is an extreme safety hazard.
Members of the public were noticed accessing the well-house building last week. Please be advised - this is an ACTIVE CONSTRUCTION SITE, requiring HARD HATS. Only contruction personnel, engineers and operators who are part of active construction work or testing should be on site. Winter consitions exist at the site, including mud, snow, equipment and chemicals.
Please obey all directives by the contstruction team on the road and construction site.
Once construction is completed, tours of the new facility will be discussed so community members can learn about the project and ongoing operations.
Thank you for continuing to use alternative routes to access the community and please stay safe!
Thank you for your cooperation!
A road closure has been scheduled for Wednesday November 12th, at the construction site. Please use other routes to access the community--thank you for your cooperation!
The road closure has been rescheduled for Thursday October 9th, at the construction site. Please use other routes to access the community--thank you for your cooperation!
Thank you for your patience while construction is ongoing. Due to weather and process delays, the project completion has been delayed several weeks.
We request owners and visitors to use other routes during construction, and please be aware that the road next to the construction site will likely be closed for several days in the near future. Updates will be provided on this webpage, as much as possible.
At this point, the underground pipe-work has been completed and tested. The foundation for the Treatment Building was installed, but had to be removed and replaced; the new slab installation is process with the above-ground building installation beginning soon!
After the building is completed, internal, electrical, and plumbing equipment will be installed, along with the access driveways and asphalt, as much as possible prior to winter weather conditions. At this time, we still plan to have the building comissioned before Winter 2025.
Thank you for your understanding! Please email us if questions or any issues arise.
